Is not that amazing. From one thing there are so many.

From those so many there are also many drills which is even crazier but cool. That is what makes basketball so amazing. The diversity of it will always boggle my mind.

The next part of diversity are the type of players. You have 7 footers and taller to people who are under 6 feet tall. You have quick guys and you have pounders. Some games are fast and some are slow. There is just something in it for everyone.

Basketball Passing Drills and Tips

Passing in basketball for years was always been just a simple two handed chest pass. If you made any other type of pass you would be pulled from the game. Since then the game has changed. Now if you can prove to your coach that you can make the simple pass first and then the complicated pass, he will allow to go out onto the court and tear it up with sick passes.

To get good at sick passes you have to work on your passing fundamentals first.

Basketball Passing Fundamentals

Two Handed Chest Pass-The most effective pass because it is the fastest way to advance the ball to teammates. Place each hand on either side of the ball and spread the fingers evenly. Fully extend your arms as you push the ball out from your chest and snap your wrists outward so that the back of your hands are now facing each other.

Two Handed Bounce Pass-Use the same grip and motion with this basketball pass as you did with the chest pass, but bounce the ball 2/3 of the way to the player.

Two-Handed Overhead Pass-Use the same grip and motion with this basketball pass as you did with the chest pass, but above your head (not up and back behind your head).

Once you have the fundamentals down, you can work on the fancy passes.

Of-the-Dribble-This is the quickest which gives you a big advantage over the defense. While you dribble, move your hand behind the ball and push it towards a teammate as a pass.

Baseball Pass-This is effective for long passes. Just use the same motion as passing a baseball.

Behind-the-Back Pass-This pass can be used off the dribble, standing still or while moving toward the. If you can deliver this pass correctly, it will make your defender look silly. To do this, cup the ball in your hand. Swing the ball behind your back, fingers pointed down and your thumb pointed toward your back. Release the ball by snapping your arm and a quick wrist and finger snap

Basketball Passing Drills

Wall Target-Find a wall you can paint or tape at least 3 “X” targets on. Position the targets at different heights. Now stand back about 10 feet back from wall and try to hit the targets with the ball. Practice all the different passes shown here from different positions and slowly move back as you get better.
